3.9 Custom Colors

Both IES and ANSI have documents that recognize the need for special or custom colored photocontrols. As previously mentioned, some utilities use black or brown to match decorative fixtures. Some utilities have to match historic fixtures. Others use these colors for electronic controls; stockroom people and linemen are reminded that these long life electronic controls that do not need changing at every re-lamping. For example, some utilities are using higher quality controls and only replacing them every other lamp change. The following colors are generally available from DTL and some other suppliers:
